A training program on Maize cultivation was conducted for the farmers under Hezamara Block after which Maize seeds were distributed to the farmers. 10th April 2014, Jana Unnayan Samiti Tripura (JUST) organized a training program on Maize cultivation under FARM Northeast Project at Uraua kami under Hezamara Block. There were 45 farmers taking part in the training program. The resource person of the day was Dr. M. Datta (Join Director of ICAR) and Dr. Gulap Singh Yadav (Agriculture scientist of ICAR). The resource person explained about the system of cultivating Maize through which they can get more production. The farmers received Maize seeds of 200 KG after the training program. The resource persons handed the seeds to the farmers. The program ended at about 11:45 am.
