On 25th April 2015, the world and North East India in particular, marked the Malaria Day on the theme: “Invest In the Future, Defeat Malaria”. In this connection, JUST, Partner Organisation of Caritas India, in collaboration with NVBDCP, SVBDCP and other stakeholder’s organised advocacy, educational programmes, rallies, minimise malaria infection and prevent unnecessary deaths. This is important as Malaria is predictable, preventable and curable. JUST have organized four programmes in different blocks of Dhalai and Khowai Tripura. The Director of JUST Fr. Jeevan Kennady, flags of the rally at Teliamura, Khowai Tripura to mark the World Malaria Day along with other dignitaries. In similar events, Dr. Anut Debbarma the District Project Officer along with the other stakeholders flags the rally at Chawmanu, Dhalai Tripura. Two other such events were organized at Tulashikhar market at Khowai and at Nepaltilla, Dhalai Tripura. 20 such awareness programmes were conducted during the day to mark the World Malaria Day and to defeat malaria.
