JUST & IGSSS giving a ray of hope to the poor man. Earlier Mr. Dhananjoy Reang, 70 years old S/o- Gonochandro Reang was a poor woodcutter. He has three daughter but were all married. So he has nobody to look after him and his wife. Inspite of his old age he had to earn his livelihood by selling wood. Seeing the condition of this old man the community mobilizer of Ride-B Project informed him about the livelihood training. Accordingly he attended the training on crops cultivation last year and was very much inspired by the training. He then gave up his wood business and started crops cultivation with the knowledge he acquired from the training. He devoted most of his time in taking care of his crops. Now the crops had given him good harvest and he was much relief. He use most of them for consumption but sometimes he also sell. When asked, he said that he is very grateful to JUST for providing him knowledge & skills of crops cultivation through the training. He said that his burden has also reduced and he does not need to go deep into the forest anymore in search of wood and risk his life.
